This section of our website provides full
details of our club, its history, strategy and goals.
Mana Swimco is a not-for-profit incorporated society. Our swimming
activities cater for the needs of all swimmers from year 1 primary school aged
learners, through the full range of swimming development to regional, national
and international competition. We also provide for the needs of 'keep fit'
swimmers who use swimming for enjoyment, to compliment training for other sports
and/or injury rehabilitation.
We pride ourselves on providing a high quality swimming experience for
swimmers of all levels at reasonable cost. We offer a fun but focussed
approach to allow swimmers to learn and improve their swimming skills and
fitness so that they achieve their potential.
When ready, swimmers are encouraged to join our swim squad where they
can accelerate their skill and fitness development in an environment of
excellence and team spirit.
Our Club committee has set a
course for growth and success. Our strengths include committed swimmers,
supportive parents and care givers and an energetic committee. With these
resources we are achieving our goals and will continue to build on our success
into the future.
In our Strategic Direction we have identified the following
objectives:

To promote and
encourage the sport of swimming by adopting, as far as is practicable, the
objects of Swimming New Zealand Incorporated.

To arrange for
coaching, instruction and competitions in swimming.

To purchase, lease, or
otherwise acquire any premises, property or equipment to be used in connection
with the objects of the Club, and to dispose of them as it sees
fit.

To actively promote and
encourage Club spirit by arranging social
gatherings.

To raise funds to
promote all or any of the Club’s objects.

To engage in other
activities that further the objects of the Club and the objects of Swimming
New Zealand Incorporated.
